Michael Schumacher – A Tribute

yesterday F1 race was rather emotional with michael schumacher announcing his retirement after weeks of speculation.the 7 times world champion (soon to be 8 times) decision does not come as a shock to the motorsports community but for me, the thought of not seeing him in the red outfit next year is still hard to accept.i mean he’s the reason why i started watching F1 and later turned me into a hardcore fan. (it’s also partially because of my dad because he’s a huge fan of him) but later on, my attention was turned to kimi raikkonen, another rising star who has just started his racing career with sauber petronas.that’s when the daily ‘argument’ on who’s the best driver between me and dad begins.i’m glad to hear that he’s joining ferarri next year, filling up the seat left by michael schumacher, or should i said, the legendary driver of our time.hopefully me and dad could agree on the same thing this time.

his departure from the racing scene will definitely be seen as a loss but his great achievements will always be remembered.the number of poles, wins and championship he won had surpassed even the best driver of his time such as nigel mansell, aryton senna and juan fangio manuel.he’s of course a man of many talents and had poved himself well especially on the race track.his endurance and the ability to perform under pressure are something you could never see on the new generation of drivers.therefore, it does justice to said that he’s the GREATEST F1 DRIVER ever!

let us enjoy the remaining 3 races as it’s the only chance we could ever catch him racing in a F1 car.hopefully he could go on to win the world championship, bow out with style, feeling satisfied that he has indeed left a unforgivable marks in the world of F1 racing and in the heart of his many fans including me.i’ll definitely miss his presence on every race to come…

goodbye, michael!
