This video in some way reminded me of my mum. She  loved comparing us to all our friends and thinks that getting tons of As is the only way a student can survive in the current competitive education system. I don’t blame her though, Asian are just brought up this way with this sort of mentality. In the Chinese community, kiasuism strike every single matter of our life, be it education or having the biggest car or house.

Once, a friend told me that his friend’s wife woke him up in the middle of the night, worrying about their children’s education.

Sigh!

Getting an A is not an option but a MUST.
