Lately, there has been news on Amnesty International changing their ‘no position’ stance on abortion. In my opinion, if this stance were to be materialized, AI’s policy of respecting the balance of conflicting rights along with the perspective of its members will be in jeopardy. According to the Declaration of Human Rights, everyone has the right to life including the unborn child and to go against this right means going against the past works advocated by AI.
